Welcome to the Kallistyles Sewing Lab!

This summer, trade screen time for creative focus. Our immersive 10-day youth sewing intensive is designed specifically to take absolute beginners and turn them into confident makers who can safely operate machine equipment, read patterns, and bring their own fashion ideas to life.
 

 Cohort 2 Details & Logistics
Start Date: Friday, July 31, 2026
Duration: 10 Sessions (2 hours per session)
Class Schedule: Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Eligible Ages: 7 to 16 years old (Students will be grouped by age/skill level to ensure personalized guidance!)
Location: Private Home Studio, Sherwood Park, AB *(Exact studio address provided immediately upon registration approval)*

 Studio Policies & Safety Procedures
To maintain an environment that feels like a premium, professional atelier while keeping our young sewists completely secure, we enforce the following guidelines:
Drop-off & Pick-up Policy (Distraction-Free Zone): To keep our students fully focused on sharp tools and machine needles, **this is a drop-off only class**. Parents are asked to drop off at 4:00 PM and pick up promptly at 6:00 PM. Space around the worktables is reserved exclusively for student safety.

Studio Dress Code:
1. Footwear: Closed-toe shoes (like sneakers) must be worn at all times. Strictly no sandals, flip-flops, or Crocs are permitted in the studio to protect feet from dropped pins or tools.
2. Hair & Clothes: Long hair must be tied back securely, and loose sleeves or dangling jewelry must be removed before operating the machines.
Studio Temperature Warning (Layer Up!): Our professional workshop is located in a cozy basement studio space. It can occasionally run a bit chilly before the machinery warms up, so please ensure your child brings a sweater or layers up comfortably.
Snacks & Hydration: Sewing requires immense hand-eye coordination and brainpower! We take brief 15-minute intervals to stretch. Please send your child with a water bottle and a light snack.
